Juan Rodrigo Hurtado Penagos is the founder and president of Teledatos S.A. the leading company in the Colombian contact center market.
A civil engineer of Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia, he attended special courses in Administration, Management and Negotiation at Harvard University.
In 1994 he established Teledatos, based on an idea that arose from his graduation paper in the United States, with the specific purpose of providing customer service. The company started operations with four employees and basic call-center technology with 10,000 telephone contacts processed each month in Colombia.
Today, thanks to the strategic vision of its managerial team, Teledatos has over 6,000 employees and dispatches more than 12 million monthly contacts with 15 countries from around the world, in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Papiamento.
In addition to its offices in Colombia, Teledatos has commercial operations in Europe and 5,400 seats in six operation centers in Colombia.
Currently, the company is undergoing a regional expansion process and is implementing 400 seats in Peru.
Also, in order to become a Latin American multinational with Colombian talent, the company is consolidating investments in Central and South America through which it will expand its service offer in the region and consolidate as major front and back solutions center.
The company has received the ISO 9001:2000 certification for implementation and operation of contact centers and possesses state-of-the-art technologies for process and transaction control.
